WOW IT WAS GREAT very filling and huge portions, enough to eat for a few days after, for a good price too!!! Very rare nowadays. The service was impeccable and attentive and gratuity was included in the bill. Had a great experience and I loved it here. Good vibes
This place was chaotic and loud, but the food and service were great! The appetizers, the main dish were all really well made and full of flavor. Very impressive. Our server was so kind. We were put by the open door and it was freezing. So, our server found us a new table even with it being so crowded. The cake was impressive looking but didn't taste special. It tasted like it had been frozen for too long and then thawed.
Great food and good energy, staff are really nice. Big portions! I regularly visit Jacob's Pickle but this was my first time at Maison's and it was as good in terms of food quality but definitely a fancier.
Good food, so so service. Very noisy. Lots of celebrations and loud talkers make an unpleasant dinner. Would come back for lunch because the food was very good.
The food was great and came in big portions. The pull apart bread is SO good. I only meant to eat one but I ended up eating 3 and I have no regrets (okay maybe some). I shared the French toast and mac and cheese with someone and it still was too much to finish. The one really frustrating part of my dining experience was that they included an 18% gratuity on the check for 4 people, which I didn't realize, and I tipped a full amount on top of that. Our waitress was nice but I wouldn't have intentionally tipped 40%. Be warned that TIP IS INCLUDED IN THE CHECK. Update: Added back a star. They reached out and kindly offered to refund my mistaken tip. Our waitress was great and deserved a generous tip (just perhaps not 40% generous) and I appreciate the restaurant reaching out to correct this.
You know what's seriously amazing? Mason Pickle! I can't even count how many times I've been there, and let me tell you, I'll keep going back as long as they'll have me! Alright, let's dive into the good stuff - their pull-apart bread. It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth! I've tried every single flavor they offer, from the garlic herb to the cheese and bacon, and let me tell you, they're all ridiculously good. Seriously, you'll be reaching for seconds before you even realize it. I'd give it a solid 10 out of 10, no doubt about it. Now, onto the buffalo mac and cheese. Oh boy, get ready for a cheesy flavor party in every damn bite lol! The macaroni is cooked to perfection, and that creamy, cheesy sauce with a hint of buffalo seasoning? It's like heaven on a fork. Every bite is just pure comfort food bliss. I'd rate it a perfect 10 out of 10, hands down. And let's talk about the fried chicken and french toast. Whoever came up with that combo deserves a medal because it's genius! The crispy chicken paired with fluffy french toast is a match made in foodie heaven. Top it off with some maple syrup, and you've got yourself a winning breakfast dish. I dont even like breakfast foods like that. This speaks VOLUMES! I'd say it's a solid 9 out of 10 - absolutely delicious! Now the service? Those folks at Mason Pickle are top-notch. They're always super friendly and on top of things, making sure your dining experience is nothing short of awesome. Plus, they don't mess around with portion sizes. You'll leave feeling satisfied with left overs. In a nutshell, Mason Pickle never disappoints. With mouthwatering dishes like their pull-apart bread, buffalo mac and cheese, and fried chicken and french toast, paired with stellar service and generous portions, it's no wonder I keep going back for more!
Tried the Parmesan garlic bread and the crab cake sandwich and it was delicious. The Oreo cake was amazing too.
Everything here is so delicious. The pull apart honey and butter bread is so good. It's like dessert for an app. I split the Mac n cheese with someone which was the perfect amount of food because the portions are so big. Delicious Mac n cheese! We got the chocolate cake to split for the table. It was good, but didn't blow me away. Very rich and chocolatey. The waitress was so nice and brought us a slice of some new strawberry shortcake thing they were testing out in the kitchen and THAT was amazing. We told her they should definitely put it on the menu. A little pricey per person, but if you split a meal, not too bad!
Wow! Talk about over the top! Do not let the entrance fool you; this restaurant packs an enormous punch! We started off with the a few delicious cocktails and the absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS Pull Apart Honey Butter Bread. This bread could almost melt in your mouth- so soft and fluffy... sheer PERFECTION! Even though we were full from the bread, we couldn't resist ordering the Fried Chicken, Bacon 'N' Toast (bacon and maple syrup on the side). This entree is quite the spectacle! It is HUMONGOUS! Pictures do not do it justice! We also ordered the Mac and Cheese "Classique"- served in a heavy duty skillet! Our server was phenomenal! He made suggestions about the menu and had the best sense of humor. I have to say- everything was out of this world! I just wish our stomachs could have packed in more! There is no way to leave without taking some home in a to-go box!
I was watching a TV show recently about guilty pleasures when a 24 layer chocolate cake caught my eye. When I realized that it was from Maison Pickle, I ensured that my upcoming visit to Manhattan included a stop here. Although it was off hours for meals when I dined, there were a few people dining. I ended up sitting at the bar with a few people. The entrance is by the bar and there are multiple dining spaces upstairs and downstairs. Music was playing in the background and the ambiance was chill. The bathrooms were a little strange as the area was quite dark with black subway tile floors, black toilets, and dim lighting. A candle was burning by the farmhouse sink. After looking at the full menu online, in addition to the cake, I also wanted to try the macaroni and cheese and the pull apart garlic and parmesan bread...a carb overload basically. I made it there around 3:30 pm on a Friday. The menu offered until 4pm was interestingly the brunch menu. Unfortunately this menu didn't include the pull apart bread. I ordered the mac and cheese and the cake. I also inquired about the challah bread French toast with fried chicken. The waitress appeared surprised that I was considering ordering that too so I passed on it. When the food arrived, I knew what she meant. The cake was huge and the macaroni was presented in a decent size skillet. After a few bites of each I was so full! The mac and cheese had such a thick, rich, creamy sauce that was very filling and the cake was dense. All in all, I was a happy camper! But, I must say that the mac and cheese needed salt and pepper and probably because of the cheese sauce, it was swimming in oil. The cake was delicious but the icing was thick and the cake wasn't very moist. I assume it has to be that dense in order to cut 24 layers. I boxed the rest of my food up for several more meals.
